oh my back! so here's what i've got going on right now. i have some letters to fill and such. now what other signs do we absolutley need? so i can at least print out the small versions. and i'mma gonna try to come up with some others that can be drawn once up there. let me know, kids!

Last Minute...

Alright, listen up you muthafuckas.

The party is just getting started. It's gonna be KILLA (right, Steph?).
I want to remind you mofos of a few things before we celebrate yo arrival!

• Bring warm clothes. It's a little nippy here. Or in the words of my best bud Joe in Oregon, it's "Colder than a witch's tit in a brass bra" here.
• As a reminder, this Saturday night at 7pm is the Halloween party at the ol' casa, with local friends coming with some of their kids, family members, dates, spouses, etc. Food, drinks, fun, TOTAL wackiness.
• Monday, Halloween night, we will be scaring kids in the front yard. We have already had people walk by and ask as Bri, Duane and I have been outside painting some stuff, if we are doing our "schtick" again this year. I reply to the old person walking their dog: "Why yes, mothafucka, even BIGGER and BETTER!"
• Steph: If you can, remember Martha Stewart movie, girl. Gotta see this shit.
• Laura: No worries about your snake. We will work on him when you get here. We are thinking spray paint might be best for the "skin".
• Jen: I have told Steph, but I am sneaking this one up one you: we are gonna need ya'lls help with some more signage for outside Halloween night. I know you have done a shitload of em' already, but maybe a few more? If you can or need em' (I don't know how ya work), can you bring your supplies for lettering?
• All of you have a safe trip up here. Steph and Josh, we will be greeting you at the airport tomorrow evening upon your arrival.
• Anticipate a photo upon your arrival....

1st Arrival!

Yesterday heralded the arrival of none other than Mr. Brian E. Sikorski. He is the 1st Arrival to this year's Halloween Festivities. We enjoyed a nice evening complete with XBOX gaming, I Love the 80's #D viewing (complete with 3D glasses), and a nice warm dinner of homemade chili by master chef Duane of Blandford.

FUCK!!!!!! some time between 3 when i got home from being out this afternoon and 7 when i went to pick up our pizza dinner, my car fucking died!! john thinks it's the starter. god i KNEW something stupid like this would happen cuz i'm THAT paranoid. so i have five days to figure out what i'm going to do and how to fix my car and if i'll still make it. i'm so pissed! but i'm still banking on coming somehow, i dunno how.

i'm so fucking jazzed to see you guys. and i have to share what josh is gonna be for halloween, cuz we didn't actually figure it out until last week or the week before that or something!

anyhow, josh is gonna be a zombie cotton candy salesman, and it's gonna be sweet cuz that means we all get cotton candy! yes!!! details of this sweetass costume are underwraps, strictly hush hush, but i will say this - POW!!

good news, fellow freaks!

well so after last night finding out i had the weekend festivites all wrong, and that halloween monday was actually part of this whole bananafest, and trav begging and pleading with me to stay thru monday... i managed to get the warden to pardon me for that day and i will be there! unfortunately i'll have to leave early tues to make it back to work by the afternoon... to make it look like i care about my job and shit! anyways now i'm extra excited and i don't have to rush thru the weekend. here's the sign for tonight. i got tired too. i made that darn A too wide and had to squish the end a little, but like barnes restaruant... it's all good! p.s. i too, am too damn ass old to be sitting on the floor working on an art project. my body is not appreciating it!!

Calling it a day (early)

Well, we're too damn tired to keep going. This is the last day off I have before beginning vacation and heading to Columbia, so there will be no more "in-progress" photos. I will post photos of the posters as they are completed. Big shout out to Stacy, who came out to help with the posters! She was a BIG HELP!!!! So here they are as of 7:21 PM EST

The "Blockhead" needs eyes and some little additional toning, he also needs his needles through his skin and his lettering on the banner above as well as on the "ALIVE" circle on the bottom.

"Sweet Marie" needs her banner as well as her weight circle completed. Her food needs to be colored and she should be good to go.

"The Elastic Man" needs his banner and some additional detail on his body, like a face.

We hope to have these done in the next few days. We wanted to have them all done today, but its not going to happen. I guess we aren't like the college kids we used to be. I think an all-nighter would kill me.

Reminder...

Hello Halloween-Heads.
I wanted to clarify a few things as the holiday looms near. The Ringleader feels as though he has not fully explained to everyone who is coming to Columbia, SC to parttake in the festivities, what they are in store for.
As you all know on Saturday, Oct. 29th, at 7pm, there will be a Halloween party that will be attended by local denizens of Columbia as well as weary traveller friends of The Ringleader and Co. The party will be just the beginning of the fun!
On Monday night, All Hallow's Eve, we will continue the tradition of scaring the dickens out of the local children when they stop by to trick or treat. This is what all your costumes and characters are for. On Halloween night, we will have a haunted attraction in our very front yard (see previous posts and pictures). All of us will don our costumes and take our positions as the creepiest carnival attraction to ever reach the southlands.
You obviously can wear your costumes for the Halloween party on Saturday night, but save your Halloween spirit and spooky OOMPH for Monday night, when we'll need it to scare the trick or treaters and families that stop by. We have a feeling the numbers and volumes of people will increase this year.

So, to sum it all up to people travelling to Columbia,

• Saturday night, October 29th, is the Halloween party at 7pm where costumes are welcomed.
• Monday, October 31st (Halloween), we will have the yard fully decked out with lighting, music pumped through speakers, and all of us in costume, ready to spook the spirits out of families and trick or treaters!

damn baby!

those posters are gonna be huge-tastic! rock! and ok so i didn't feel i could take on the challenge of those people posters, but i felt pretty good about doing text. given the size of the posterboards i got, i split one in half and knew i couldn't fit all the words from the ones mel sent me. so i picked the choice words and condensed it into what you see here. i attempted to paint this one, which is taking too much time so im going to do it again and marker it. then i'll do the other with its choice words. i want to do some other single word ones.. like FREAKS! so please gimme some more word ideas!
