What the Fu?....

Here's a new facelift for our Twisted Commune site.
This is something I have wanted to do since everyone left here from Halloween.
I was gonna keep the carnival theme cuz we are all crazy like that ("Callin' All FREAAAAKS!"), but, after hearing Bri's cool title and Jen asking about changing the blog title, I had to run with it.
I wanted to get all of our mugs plastered on the site.
I'm not done with the overhaul yet. I figured we could all take a stab at changing the look of the blog on a monthly basis or whenever one of us felt like it.
I was feeling a punk-badass vibe for our first transformation. Does everyone feel badass now? It was hard to find serious pics of us all. We're usually all goofing off.
Since it's Twisted Commune, I was also digging the key, keyhole, lock artwork. I am gonna need Bri's help with the html for this thing.
Bri: I wanna add some imagery on the sidebar and change the contributor section to links for all our webpages. Think you can help me out? Also, first of all: is this cool? The look?
Second of all: remember that birthday present that was coming your way? It may take til tomorrow or the weekend to get to you....I blessed them out and will give them a shitty rating on Amazon (where I ordered your stuff). BASTARDS!
Finally, I have some other ideas for banners or whatnot, but I want us all to contribute to the look of this site. If you all feel like it, whenever. I think everyone has access to this blog to make changes, so CHANGE AWAY.
(I hope everyone thinks I got their "good side" captured on the banners above. If you hate your pic, lemme know, and I will work hard to get another one up there. Better yet, send me a serious pic of you and I will put it on a banner. You won't hurt my feelin's none if yuh wanna change it! hur hur....)
Anyway, Bri...

So thats why there is no Disneyland Mexico City...

So over the weekend Steph, her sister Danielle and I went to the Happiest Place on Earth... I know what you are thinking, no we did not go to the Springfield Arms factory or the Glock factory... (two of the most magical places on Earth) We went to none other than Disneyland. It was crowded but we had a good time. I noticed something a little odd though. Heres how it all went down.

We were standing around waiting for the 50th Aniversary fireworks show to start. Every couple of minutes a pre-recorded speech would play on the loud speaker saying that in X number of minutes the show was going to start. During one part of the speech it would say "dreams really do come true." All sounds like pretty standard Disney dribble.... I'll buy that... But then it repeats the same speech in spanish for our latin american neighbors. Sounds ok right? Except for the place in the speech where it says "dreams really do come true," that part they read back in english not spanish.... Which tells me that "dreams don't come true in spanish?" Thats just sad if you ask me. Who would have thought that Disney Magic (which can do almost anything) can't translate to spanish.

On another note...
Several weeks ago Brian posted the Christmas house on his blog... I am completely addicted and can not stop watching it. That has to be our door bell ring when we get the commune up and running. It is inspiring me to write a rock opera....

Red Hats Forever!

Just an update on the CD's of Halloween pictures... I've got everyone's pictures except for the Halloween pictures of Steph and Josh. Unfortunatly, the disc that Trav burned was empty when I got here. It just had a folder with nothing in it. Trav is going to reburn the photos and get them down to us. I hope to have them sent out soon. Sorry for the delay. I'm looking to seeing all of you here for New Years. I'm sorry to hear that our two O.C.'ers won't be able to join us. That's o-kay. We'll see you in April... but it wont be the same without you!

Sidewalk arts Idea....

Now folks this is just an idea, so if you don't like it, you can punch me.... but not too hard.

Ok, Steph and I were talking about what we wanted to do for sidewalk arts this year. We decided it would be fun to use all 5 or 6 or 50 of the squares the commune is given each year to do one big project. Well what project we thought... What about a comic strip of some sort... something hillarious... Well the other day when Steph and I were talking about how we needed to buy everyone Red Hat Society Power Rings,, an idea came to me.. What about doing a Red Hat Society superhero comic strip,, like a combination of the superfriends and the goldengirls.??????

5 or 6 society members could save someone or put out a fire or just visit a museum in costume... I don't know, but it might be pretty funny.
